OOTD - 5 September 2012

Featuring Frock&Frills dress from the Clothes Swap.
Laura actually got this from the last swap, and thank goodness she decided to give it a better home, I love it!

When I first saw the dress at the swap I was so unsure of how I would wear it, and with what. I am not a very dainty lady, so I find it hard to wear dresses that are more ladylike.
Laura took a pic of the dress on for me so I could see it on my body and it looked good on so I figured I would just take it, and if I didn't like it, I would just bring it to the next swap.

After worrying how to wear this dress, I decided to "lisa'fy" it with boots and a belt.
And it looked great.
I was scared that I would only be able to wear it in a much more ladylike way, but when I put the boots on, I knew I had figured out how I would make it work!

What I Wore:
Dress - Frock&Frill (swap)
Belt - Matalan
Boots - Asda

OOTD - 28 August 2012

Featuring Clothes Swap items.

So this skirt is actually a size UK 14, but I kept seeing it on the pile of skirts at the Clothes Swap last weekend, and I was just drawn to it, I saw the size and thought, there is no way its fitting me since ASOS tend to run quite a bit small on their smaller sizes, but I finially picked it up, and the waist band was quite stretchy, so I took the plunge and tried it on and blamo ... it fit =D
It's made out of two layers, a netting underneath, and the top layer of jersey material.
I effing love it!

Loving these stretch cami/tank top/tshirts from Primark, they're a bargain at like £2.50 each!

Clothes Swap Swag

If you havent read my Plus Size Clothing Swap post yet, please do so here
(this will make much more sense once you have read the other post)
PICTURE HEAVY

As I said on my other post, I really wanted to come back with a coat or jacket, but what I came home with was even better than I could have ever anticipated ... a fucking cape!!

There were a lot of dresses and lovely tops which I did want, but they didn't fit or didnt look good on, so I decided to get some cardigans and a knitted top to expand my already massive cardigan collection.

Plus Size Clothing Swap

PIC HEAVY

Sunday was the day of the Plus Size Clothing Swap in Leeds.
It wasn't the best day weather wise, but it wasn't pissing down with rain so I donned my Peacocks skirt and off I went.

I met Laura at the train station and we got our loooong train to Leeds and had plenty of chats and giggles.

When we got there we saw Rachel and plenty there ladies, and there was so much clothing. And so many lovely fat babes!

Steph & Fran

I took quite a lot myself, including a coat and about 7 belts. All I wanted to come back with was a coat/jacket and a skirt.
I didn't expect to come home with as much as I did, but Im so glad I was given the chance to do so!
And I am so thankful for the lovely people who made it possible!

There weren't any mirrors in the room sadly, so Laura took a picture of me in a dress to show me ... just so happened to be a dress she had bought.
I LOVE it! It is quite a bit more classy than dresses I wear, but I think I can make it work!

I met so many lovely ladies at the swap, but didn't get names/blogs from many.
I'm hoping some of them read mine and will say hi!

And now, some pictures of my looking angry whilst trying on skirts!
(i wasn't angry)

Itwas great trying other people clothing, and I love that my clothing went to a home and not just in the bin or left in the closet to rot.

I will do a post on the goodies I got soon.

After the swap Laura, Rachel and Fran, a new friend and I went for some food at Bella Itallia. The food was lush and I had a refreshing glass of Rose and a delicious Pollo Milanese. YUM.

After the swap and awesome foods, we all went out separate ways, and once back in what was then Sunny Sheffield, I got a Watermelon & Lemon drink from Ritazza.

And took an awesome picture of me in the semi reflective window!
And met my dad and his work colleagues for drinks in town.

All in all, it was a bloody awesome day!

PenPals and Swaps

Ok so as some of you know, I have joined the beauty swap that Rachael is holding.
It's really made me remember how much I love swapping and penpals! Currently I am writing to 4 people in the USA, 1 in Amsterdam, and another in Japan.

I got my first letter the other day from a friend Vicky in Canada...

I also got 3 cute sticker sets with her letter!
They're adorable!
So All last night at work I wrote back to her, and also to my friend James in the states.
Cant wait to post them off tomorrow!

Her letter was a joy to read, and so interesting to hear about stuff from someone else's life.
That's what makes penpalling so exciting, you get to learn new things about people, different countries and cultures and learn new languages too.

I'm not gonna show the contents of the packages just just in case they  manage to stumble upon this!

Anyways... I was just so excited to get my letter in the mail, cant wait to get more from different people round the world!
Do any of you guys snail mail with people round the world?
