Denim Delight - OOTD

The other day I decided that I needed to wear my hair in Miley Knots and have Glitter Roots.

I wore a denim top from Yours Clothing.

I'm not going to lie, I adore my hair like this!
And this top!

I wore my time turner necklace with it and I think it makes a really nice focal piece!

It even spins!
Isn't it awesome!

Have you tried anything crazy with your hair?

Outfits in recent times - OOTD's

I haven't done an OOTD post in forever, but I definitely have been sharing my outfits on Instagram, so I thought I'd pick a few recent ones I liked and share them here.

Starting from Oldest to Newest.

This top is from Yours clothing and I simply adore it. It's outside of my normal style but when I tried it on in the store (above) I really took to it!

This is what I wore to work on a Friday, after which I was meeting Rachel for her bday supper treat.
Im wearing my biker jacket from Simply Be, batwing dip hem top from yours and loafer pumps from Asda.

I wore my art teacher shirt the day after I dyed my hair purple and pink. I felt it was fitting that I bring the art teacher style back in for this change of hair colour.
This shirt is from Yours.

Bit of a mish mash of clothing on this one. I paired a black came with a sheer blouse and red velvet skirt. All from Simply Be. And then a sleeveless duster jacket from Yours.
I ended up taking the sheer blouse off and just wearing the jacket as it was all a bit too much for me.

I stepped right out of my comfort zone with this combo.
All from Simply Be.
I wore a peach coloured peplum top with a peach coloured pencil skirt with an exposed zip.

This was the last day of my indigo denim jeans, I had to chuck them finally as they've split on the thighs :/
Top and jeans from Simply Be. Jacket from New Look.

I was feeling the poof and high pony this day!
Denim dress from Simply Be.

Rocking this front zip detailed Kelly Brook dress and bubblegum pink blazer, both Simply Be a while ago.
Purple lippy from Make Up Revolution.

This dress always gets me compliments, its a simple 3/4 sleeve dress from Simply Be. Its soft and floaty.

This is one of my fave dresses from Simply Be, so much so that I bought the dark version too!
This also gets so many compliments! <3

It was most definitely a Wednesday when I wore this outfit.
"on wednesdays we wear pink"
This shirt is from Maristoa, I wore it with a basic black skater skirt from New Look.

This shirt though! I am loving shirt dresses recently, so glad I got my hands on this Yours one. I think it goes well with my biker jacket for a harder edge.

Who doesn't love wearing palm trees on their top right?! Both the top and cardigan are freebies.
Skirt from Simply Be.

Finally, this blue number was worn on World Water Day. I always love wearing this dress, it makes me feel regal!

What have you been wearing lately?

Sequinned Cape OOTD - Christmas Part Edition

I've been away from the blog for some time now, there's plenty of reasons but the most important one was that I really just didn't feel like I wanted to force blogging.

I've not been doing much around the psbloggers community as I feel its a negative space at the moment and I certainly don't want to surround myself with the negativity.
I've got my people around me, they're supportive and rad and thats all I really need right now.

I've started to get back in the swing of blogging over the past few days and thought i'd share some (now old) pics from my Works Christmas Party.

It was held at The Mecure hotel in Sheffield, so I got a room for Daisy and myself to share... and Mak slept on the sofa/floor too.
It was a group affair!

This was the view from the room.
The Coca Cola truck was in town at the same time!

Classic drinks from sparkly plastic cups.

One of the trio, me, Mak, Daisy.

tulle skirt // blue cami // sequin cape

With Bae before we went down!

I wore my hair up in a tight bun and added some sparkle with a chained detail hair clip in the back.

The theme was 007 James Bond.

This bow tie napkin combo really did it for me! I love the fine details like this!

Old team, rocking the dance floor!

Just laughing it out, as usual!

Just schmoozing with managers! As I do!

I snuck one final selfie for the night before we went back to the room for MacD's and giggles.

We spent the rest of the night talking and laughing and finally falling asleep around 5am (Mak and I).

It was a lovely night!

Layering Up with New Look

Well I don't know about you guys, but I am starting to feel the chill now a days.
Seems we have had our fill of summer and the autumnal days are closing in, not that I mind.

I am a huge fan of layering, I love being able to chuck on a cardi to keep me warm in these transition days. I never know if its going to be just a little bit too cold for short sleeves or not because the sun in the morning tricks me. So having a cardi handy really is that, handy!

My favourite cardigan right now is this pink one with cute lace detail on the back from New Look*.

I really love this one because it's light enough but still gives me warmth.
The knit is quite thin so it doesn't bulk up your outfit.

I've been wearing this quite often recently and it goes with most things, I've styled it with print heavy dresses, skirt and blouse as well as super casual with jeans and a t-shirt.

Here's how I wore it with jeans to go for a meal with the fam and do some grocery shopping.

As you can see, Ive layered this with a t-shirt with a cami underneath.

These jeans are the super skinny Rosie jeans.
I love them for colder days as they're so skinny that they're like leggings and we all know how much I love my leggings.

I paired all this with my new Chelsea boots from Simply Be.

The lace detailing comes all the way up the back of the cardigan and onto the shoulders.

The lace is really sweet and whatever you're wearing underneath shows through.

My tips for layering are pretty simple;

pick thin pieces so you don't feel too clumpy
if you find one item that works, get it in every colour
don't be scared to layer

If you're looking for some cute knit layering pieces, New Look has you covered.

Go forth and LAYER!

Blog Every Day in June #12 - OOTD

Another OOTD for ya.

"on Wednesdays we wear pink"
I make it my mission to wear pink every Wednesday, because I can =D
This time I rocked the pink blazer and pink lips.

What I Wore:
 Smock Dress - J D Williams
Leggings - Simply Be
Blazer - Simply Be
Pumps - Fashion World

The brooch on my blazer I got from Rachel last year some time.

This dress is more neon in person, the yellow really pops out.

I straightened my hair and left it down for this day, everyone really goes mad for it when its down and straight, like theyve never seen hair before.
Really makes me giggle, but I'd rather rock a top knot!

The pumps I got recently as my ol Primark faithfuls were falling apart.
I like this cut out type as it lets your feet breath a bit.

On my lips I used MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer in the colour Criminal.
It matches my blazer almost perfectly.
