Wrapped in pink - OOTD

I bought this dress forever ago from New Look but hadnt worn it all too often.
I debuted it first on my birthday in July...

So I decided to give it an outing to work to brighten everyones day up.

On my lips is a lip liner from Barry M in colour #113. It's my current go to colour for barbie pink lips.
And with this dress and my hair looking so bright, barbie lips were just the cherry ontop of a great outfit day!

I wore my fave necklace from Simply Be to give it some shiny magpie sparklyness.
My cardigan is from Tesco via Rachel.
And my bag is from Simply Be too.
I later added some sequin'y fish scale nail varnish from Essence called Million Dollar Baby
I do so love this top coat. I wore it with 3 coats on its own because its just so fricking cool!

Blogmas - Day 31 Taking care of my Lips, Baby

During the winter I like to stock up on lip balms and lip salve products because my lips get chapped and crack easy, so I like to have at least 1 in my bag at all times.

I usually have a variety of products to hand, in recent times I have favoured Carmex Cherry Lip Balm or the Carmex Lip Balm Moisture Plus and always have a tin of Vaseline Lip Therapy, which are all affordable and available in most drugstores and supermarkets.

But recently I happened upon something different.
Now I don't follow trends and make up fads, I just use what I like when I like.
I know that Maybelline Baby Lips was a big thing recently but I never thought much of them until a work friend shared a recent purchase with me (because thats what women do ok).

In a payday treat I bought 2 shades and got the other today (Saturday)

L-R: Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss

I really like these as they are tinted, but don't stain. They're very wearable and very very very moisturising. AND affordable at only £2.99 a pop in Superdrug.

L-R: Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss

Pink Punch is a soft baby pink and my favorite of the 3 I have. It has a fruity scent, almost like a fruit punch, wehey.

Cherry Me comes on as a light pinky red, and obviously smells like cherry.

Peach Kiss is the lightest of the 3. Its a nice nude colour and has a peach scent.

I did a lil swatchy thing, well, lip test really. I have kept the same order as above for continuity's sake.

L-R: Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss

I am definitely a fan of these and will most likely be purchasing the rest of the collection as soon as I can, and also just stocking up on as many as I can for the winter.

Are you a fan of these, what's your favorite one?

Collection DELUXE lipstick

Now we all know I am a cheapo, and I like a good bargain!
So imagine my surprise when I picked up 4 lipsticks for a tenner in ASDA.
Ok so granted there only 2 actual colours, but hey, a girl needs different shades of pink and red!
And they're such nice shades of said colours!
They are pretty good wear too, I wore one of them pretty much ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT at Plus North and I only reapplied twice throughout the entire day!

The four colours I picked up are:

#2 - Talullah

#4 - Speakeasy

#5 - Silent Movie

#1 - Prohibition (best name ever)

I am quite fond of Talullah, I think it may have just become my everyday lip colour!

Here is the actual wear from day to night with just 2 touchups.
(i didn't wear use a lip pencil either)

Helen E Cosmetics Review

Recently I posted about our Rad Fat shopping trip, and I briefly mentioned Helen E.

As we all know, I try out alot of foundations and make up products, well this particular one has almost trumped my L'loreal BB Nude Magique obsession.
The lovely Helen E rep used the skin smoother, blusher and lip gloss on moi.
The smoother was soft, light and dewy and when applied with a foundation brush looked so refreshing and natural.
The blusher was a nice light peachy tone which I love.
The gloss was a soft pink, which I wasn't too taken by as it was glittery, but it still looked lovely.

Laura took this pic in Debenhams after my make over

I got a gift pack worth about £50 to £60 for just £20.00, this included the Smoother, Eyeliner, Duo Mascara, Lip Liner, Concealer stick and Blush, in a "milan" make up bag.

The mascara's are nice and small and compact. The formula is nice and liquid'y and not too dark. I prefer the brown as lately I have been favouring brown mascara as opposed to black.

The eyeliner is a nice soft kohl type pencil, with a smudger on the end. I don't often use eyeliner smudgers because I dont smudge my eyeliner for smokey effects, but this is still a nice liner, very soft indeed.

Left with flash, Right without flash

The blush is a perfect colour for me, nice peachy coral tone. Perfect.

The lip crayin is also quite soft and a nice light pink lip colour which I quite like, its quite natural!

I also like the concealor stick, it's a decent match to my skin, but it can be a bit hard at times.

I used all of the Helen E items I have on my face today.
The skin smoother really does blend well with my skin, it's lovely!

Currently Helen E is available online, or in Debenhams.
