Wrapped in pink - OOTD

I bought this dress forever ago from New Look but hadnt worn it all too often.
I debuted it first on my birthday in July...

So I decided to give it an outing to work to brighten everyones day up.

On my lips is a lip liner from Barry M in colour #113. It's my current go to colour for barbie pink lips.
And with this dress and my hair looking so bright, barbie lips were just the cherry ontop of a great outfit day!

I wore my fave necklace from Simply Be to give it some shiny magpie sparklyness.
My cardigan is from Tesco via Rachel.
And my bag is from Simply Be too.
I later added some sequin'y fish scale nail varnish from Essence called Million Dollar Baby
I do so love this top coat. I wore it with 3 coats on its own because its just so fricking cool!

Street Chic - NOTD

In a recent shopping trip I purchased another confetti type nail varnish from the Maybelline Colour Show collection.
What I Used:
Collection Top Coat
OPI The Grape Debate
Maybelline White Splatter Topcoat
I started with Collection 2 in 1 Hardener & Strengthener and then applied a clear top coat.
Then I applied 2 coats of the purple polish. Im not so much a fan of this colour on it's own, it's a bit too dark for my taste.
Then I applied a single coat of the Splatter top coat.
I later went and added another two layers of the topcoat whilst at work.
The splatter coat is mainly white and purple splatter with some blue in there too.
I love this kinda topcoat, mainly because it's kinda ugly, and I love that!

Are you a fan of confetti style varnishes?

Total Eclipse of my Heart NOTD

A quick NOTD .
I had bought this Rimmel Space Dust a while ago when I was on a mission to find them all, but I actually hadn't used it till just now because I wasn't too sure of the colour, still am not, but I have enhanced it with a topcoat.

I needed a dark colour to cover my natural nails because I have pink stained nails due to my hair, as you can see below.

What I Used:
Gallery Colours Clear Coat
Rimmel Space Dust in colour 005 Total Eclipse
Maybelline Express Finish in colour Diamonds Flash Cosmic

And this is why I am unsure about this colour, it just looks black.

Aside for in the sunlight when it looks kinda greenish...

So I made it look better with glitter, glitter makes everything better!

NOTD - Glitter Tips

Just a quick NOTD ft the easiest "french" tip.

I saw this on a youtube video and was pretty impressed so decided to give it a go myself.
As you can see this is clearly before I decided to remove the pink from my previous nail post.

All you need is a roll of paper hole re-enforcers which you can pick up pretty much ANYWHERE.

You just place the sticker where you want on the nail, and paint on the tip of your nail.

Allow it to dry a bit, then pull the stickers off quickly and Voila!

I used Jessie - PartyGirl glitter for the tips.

This works really well for a proper french tips look or just any kind of tips.

Silk Nail Wraps

So the other day my Mom and I went to a nail joint in town, she needed a repair done to a natural nail and I wanted to get some tips done too.
We both decided to go for Silk Wraps since its less damaging.
My Mom got her nail repaired and got her nails shellac'd.
I got a full set of tips then silk done.
First I got tips put ontop of my natural nails, which she cut and filed down to the length I wanted.

Then she applied the silk wraps, which was weird in itself, because how can silk make strong acrylic like nails?! But she applied a layer of glue, then silk, then more glue, then an activator spray and repeated 3 times.

I opted for a bright pink at the time...

... but almost straight away the varnish got dented. I wasn't too fussed bout the colour anyway, so I created something FAR more fabulous when I got home.

I Used:
Jesse - Breathless
2true - Glitterati

Have you ever had falsies?

NOTD ft Rimmel space Dust in Aurora

So if you remember back a few days to this post, you'll see I have completed the collection of Rimmel Space Dust varnishes. Finally!

This is colour 003 called Aurora.
It's the most subtle of the lot, I'd call it a champagne colour, with the sparkles in, the glitter in this one is a mix of fine and bigger chunks of glitter.

I think out of all of the colours, this is the most wearable one.
It's not too over the top, even though there are sparkles, they're subtle.

I cut my nails short for the first time in like 3 months, my nails were all at different lengths, and they were uneven, so I decided to cut them and let them grow out altogether.

As per normal, here's a #notd from Instagram.

You can see the other colours I've used so far here, here and here.

Blogmas - Day 29 A Recent Lacquer Haul

So you may or may not know that I have stopped biting my nails, they're growing quite nicely now, every now and then they break but not too often thankfully.
Now because I have had longer nails to play with, I have been painting them more often. Like 3 times a week now. And unless you have been living under a rock, you'll have noticed that I have been buying a lot of varnish recently.
Well my collection has grown by 19 bottles of varnish in one day! OOPS!
(please excuse the pic quality, these were taken on my iphone)

I got the remaining 2 in the Rimmel Space Dust collection, and topped up with another colour I already had since Rimmel was 3 for 2 in Superdrug.

L-R: 007 Shooting Star, 005 Total Eclipse, 003 Aurora

I also picked up some 2true nail varnish. Of course I was drawn to the glitter! As if I need any more sparkles!
These were on a 3 for 2 offer aswell.

L-R: Shade 3, Shade 20, Shade 6 Glitterati

This glitter is pretty darn amazing! I used a single coat of it and it's really done a good job. I don't even think you would need a second coat!

I also got picked 3 Miss Sporty colours too.
And wouldn't you know it, they were on 3 for 2 as well!
Honestly, if you're a nail varnish fiend, hop down to Superdrug asap and get all the colours now!

L-R: 480 Baby Pink, 888 Glitter, 113 Tina Sparkle

I was doing a bit of mooching about in Poundland and I happened upon the prettiest display of nail varnishes ever!
When did Poundland start stocking this amount of polish?!?!?

The brand name is Jess.

I got 10... guilty!
But at £10.00 for the lot, can you blame me??

I picked a variety of glitters and other varnishes.

Breathless is a sheer pinky gold colour, it does NOT go on blue like the colour in the bottle sadly. Its definitely a top coat because even after 4 coats its not quite a solid colour.

Poppy is a babely ruby red glitter, lets face it, you can never have too many red glitters can you?

Harmony is a delightful gold shimmery colour, it looks luxurious but needs a few coats to look good.

Rock Chick is a wicked glitter. Theres black, green silver and red glitter. It's glitter ok, enough said!

Dancing Queen is a shimmery dark pink, almost on the edge of being a mauve pink.

Party Girl is a pink and gold glitter, again, any excuse for glitter!

Frenchie is pretty obvious, its a natural french colour. No surprises with this one.

First Kiss  is a pale pink which has a shimmer to it, almost a blue shimmer.
First Kiss  is supposedly the same as First Kiss as it was in the same row, but this is a more darker pink with the blue shimmer.
French White is a French Tip white obviously. Again, not much to report on this one, but a colour I needed none the less.
Have you gone a bit mad on a specific item recently??
